There exist a variety of things to see and do while visiting Virginia!  Now check out the new and exciting Virginia attractions while you vacation in our vast state!  Whether you enjoy – urban centers, mountains, forests, or oceans, the State of Virginia provides exceptions diversity of tourism attractions and events.  Everyone can find the ideal chance to slow down and escape from the frantic schedule of life.

Tour Idea #1:  Gwynn’s Island Museum on Gwynn Island Preserves the History of the Area. Much like Colonial Williamsburg, many smaller communities around Virginia are working hard to preserve the character and reputation of their own communities. These communities focus on the identity and heritage of people in their area, as well as making the towns into an appealing place to visit for local residents and tourists alike.

As well as the historical Virginia tourist attractions, there are a diversity of many fun things to experience and do.  Do you enjoy camping when you were young?  You can fish and have an outdoor fun vacation.  Located within just a short drive, you can experience a variety of attractions and natural wonders. Explore the native wonders of the state and experience the outdoors.  Whether it is riding the historical trails or boating or hiking, there are activities for everyone. These are just a few of the things you can enjoy, for more ideas, check out this Virginia attractions video.

Tour Idea #2:  The Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel Gives Scenic Shortcut. Traveling north and south, the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel connects Virginia Eastern Shore with the Virginia mainland at Virginia Beach near Norfolk and provides a captivating attraction and an important travel convenience. From the early 1930's to 1954, a private corporation managed scheduled ferry service between Virginia's Eastern Shore and the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area. The Virginia General Assembly stepped in to create the Chesapeake Bay Ferry District and the Chesapeake Bay Ferry Commission as the governing body of the District. It later became the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel District and Commission.

Balancing the quirky attractions with the more traditional attractions will create a remarkable group vacation escape.  To make the best of your family vacation escape, you may want to consider one of the many vacation packages or tours.  Many vacation packages bundle transporation, hotels, and auto rentals  or provide a educational tour.  Some packages include activity or museum tickets, so you can choose packages appropriate for everyone.  If you are fascinated in antiques and heritage, there are many arts and heritage attractions, as well as museums of all types of specialties.

Everyone can save money by visiting online tour guides. Most guides will detail the various attractions.  Professional guides will share more detail than just a brief snippet or sentence. Take your time and explore everything about your Virginia tourism.  Experience your vacation getaway and experience the chance to create family memories that will last a lifetime.
