Why Fender Stratocaster Guitar is Better?
There are three famous Fender type, Squier, Telecaster, and Stratocaster (strat). Most Fender users prefer to use Stratocaster, it means Fender Stratocaster the best one. The Japanese and American made is the best quailty of stratocaster. There are many models of Fender Strat, the standard Fender Stratocaster is the least expensive one, it cost only about $300 – $400.
Please note that there are a Squier Telecaster series and Squier Stratocaster Series. These Squier series is defferent with Telecaster series and Stratocaster series. This Squier series is not made by Fender itself, but made by licensed manufacturer and therefore it is a cheaper guitar. It is not recommended to buy Squier series.
Why does a Fender Stratocaster have three pickups?
To give the instrument a wider tonal variation. The three pickups give the Stratocaster an added tone with the use of the center pickup. The neck and middle pickups have a treble cut control and the bridge pickup has no tone adjustment. With later modifications the bridge pickup could be rewired at the lever switch to allow tone adjustment. Also, the addition of a five way lever switch allowed the neck and middle pickup along with the middle and bridge pickup to be combined in parallel in the 2 & 4 switch position. The pickups are "in phase" in that position if they have the correct magnetic polarity and they are correctly wound.
Fender was trying to obtain a better string balance between poles. Having the pole pieces at different lengths would increase or lower the amount of magnetic field to the string. The core of the wound strings had less attraction and the pole pieces were slightly longer. The E & B strings had a larger outside diameter than the wound strings and the pole pieces were shorter. The magnets are in the pickups to magnetize the strings. As the strings move back and forth when plucked, an alternating current is generated and sent through the controls for volume and tone adjustment. Having less components in a model keeps production costs down and reduces the cost of each pole piece. It also allows for less inventory of several components.
What is the difference of Stratocaster or Telecaster?
In my ill-informed opinion, it's your skills in making sound, not the instrument, that matters most. I could own the best guitar in the world and still suck. Jimi Hendrix could pick up a guitar made from cheese and make it sound cool.
If you put the two of them side-by-side, you would see the difference in the body shape. The Telecaster hasn't a cut-out in the top of the body closest to the neck, where the Stratocaster does. There is also a slight difference in sound – the Telecaster is used quite a bit in country music because its sound is more on the treble-end of the spectrum.
What is a Fender guitar worth?
Do a search online for collectors and look up Fender and Gibson since those are the top two brands that are popular for guitar enthusiasts. The value of a Fender depends on the age and condition of the instrument and how well it's been kept as collection piece. Collectors who are interested in purchasing older model Fender guitars look at the condition and how well someone has stored it and making sure that strings are in good condition and have been replaced and making sure that the body of the instrument carries little to no scratches and is kept in pretty good condition. Consult a music store that carries Fender guitars and talk to someone who could give you a rough idea of what the value is for older models of Fender guitars are worth or go on Ebay and look at some of the listings for Fender guitars and see what they're going for currently.
Look on the headstock of the guitar. If it says Mexico, youve got a $100 to $300 guitar. If it says Japan, $400 to $600. If it says USA, for an American Fender Stratocaster $800 and up.
For these and many other reasons Fender Stratocaster guitar is better.
